Detailing 201 Advanced Enthusiast Course
Who this is for
The 201 is designed for enthusiasts who have already attended our Detailing 101 day, or who already have a solid foundation in preparation and wash work and are ready to focus on correction and enhancement. If you’re still building confidence with the basics, the 101 is the right starting point — it’s not a prerequisite in the formal sense, but the 201 assumes that ground is already covered.
What the day covers
The focus is paint correction, approached properly.
You’ll cover compound types and their chemistry, how to read and approach different paint types, lighting and inspection technique, masking and surface protection, and hands-on machine work with dual-action and forced-rotation polishers. Deeper defect removal — including hand sanding for isolated scratch correction — is included, as is ceramic and polymer coating application.
On top of that, there are advanced decontamination methods to cover, including clay and clay pad technique, and cleaning to polish, rather than preserve, demonstrating different approaches – useful refinements, even for those who think they’ve already got preparation dialled in.
At the end of the day
The final session is yours. Bring your own vehicle if you’d like the instructor to assess it directly, or come with specific questions — this time is reserved for personalised advice rather than structured content, so you get answers relevant to your actual situation, rather than an overall walkthrough.
Bringing someone with you
Up to two additional participants can join at a 50% discount per person, making the 201 a genuinely affordable day for two enthusiasts with similar interests to split costs with. Just add participants below the calendar.
