Enthusiast Detailing 101, Small Group day.
What you’ll cover
The day follows the full sequence of a professional enhancement detail, giving you context for why each stage matters as well as how to do it.
Understanding the chemicals you use is crucial, both for getting the best results and when making the choice of what to buy. You’ll come away with a full understanding of what everything does, why it’s used, and when to use it for maximum efficiency.
You’ll work through exterior assessment — learning how to identify what needs attention and in what order — then move through pre-wash, snow foam, safe washing, and drying methods.
From there: decontamination (including chemical and clay bar), wheel cleaning, paintwork inspection using lighting and depth gauges, and an introduction to machine polishers — dual-action and forced-action machines from brands like Flex and Rupes, as well as more accessible options — working through pad and compound combinations to achieve different results.
The day finishes with sealant and protection application for paint, wheels, and glass to preserve your efforts and make maintenance a breeze.
Throughout, you’ll pick up the kind of practical tips that make a real difference to results — the things that take years to figure out independently but that make perfect sense once someone shows you.
After the course
There’s no assessment and no pressure — this is a day for learning, not testing. Once you’re home, you’ll have the knowledge to apply what you’ve learned to your own car, and ongoing support is available if questions come up as you put it into practice.
If the day sparks an interest in going further — whether that’s deeper machine polishing skills or something more professional — our Foundation Machine Polishing Group course is the natural next step, and Level One – Professional Car Detailing is there if you find yourself thinking about turning a passion into a career.
