What this course is about
Most machine polishing training teaches a method. This course teaches understanding — the kind that lets you adapt to any paint type, condition, or machine, and consistently get the result you’re after.
Over two days, you’ll move through all machine styles rather than focusing on one, exploring the variables that experienced polishers manipulate to achieve exceptional results: speed and pad combinations, ambient temperature and paint rebound, clear coat solids and their effect on technique, and the limits of what painted surfaces can actually withstand. The aim is to move past instilled habits and into genuine mastery.
Who it’s for
This course is designed for three groups:
detailers who have completed our Foundation Machine Polishing day or the Flexxpert All In training and are ready to go deeper;
experienced polishers who have worked across multiple machines and want to push their efficiency and quality to a higher level;
and professionals outside of detailing — bodywork, refinishing, and related trades — who regularly machine polish and want to address the gaps and inefficiencies in their current approach.
You should be comfortable with surface preparation and decontamination before attending. If you’re unsure whether your current ability level is the right fit, get in touch before booking — we’ll give you an honest answer.
What the two days cover
The course builds progressively across both days. You’ll work through rotary, dual-action, forced drive, nano, and flexible shaft machines — understanding not just how to use each, but when each is the right tool.
You’ll explore pad and compound variables in depth, examine how environmental factors affect outcomes, and work on challenging paint conditions to develop real-world judgment rather than textbook responses.
The course runs 09:30–16:30 each day.
