Valeting for Employees: Complete Course

£1,190.00 first candidate - £390 per additional attendee

Invest in your staff, invest in your business.

Valeting for Employees — Complete Course brings together both stages of our business valeting programme into two days of focused, practical training for your team.

Designed for car dealerships, rental agencies, fleet operators, and anyone running an in-house valeting operation, this course equips your staff with the knowledge, technique, and consistency that translate directly into better results, fewer errors, and less remedial work.

Up to six employees can attend together, with reduced rates for each person beyond the first. For teams of three or more, the training can also come to you — delivered on your own premises, subject to logistics.

As a Government Registered Learning Provider, UKDA issues certified qualifications, and in most cases course costs qualify as a legitimate business expense — recoupable against company taxes, with a full VAT invoice provided.

Courses can be attended by up to 5 employees at a time, at a reduced rate after the first attendee, and for 3+ candidates, the day can be run remotely at your own premises, subject to additional costs.

For courses of 6+ attendees, please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can accommodate adequate instructor-to-student ratios.

What the course covers

Valeting for Employees – Complete Course is a leaner, employer-focused version of our Level One detailing syllabus — the practical core skills your team needs, without the self-employment and marketing content that wouldn’t apply in an employed setting. The focus is on four things:

  • Efficiency,
  • Safety,
  • Consistency,
  • and Results.

Day 1 — Valeting Essentials

Day one opens with chemical knowledge and safety, ensuring every attendee understands the products they’re working with — their effects on surfaces, correct handling procedures, SDS compliance, and general workplace safety obligations. This alone satisfies a meaningful due diligence requirement for any employer.

From there, the day moves into practical work: a full safe wash and interior valet, from initial inspection through to protection application, delivered in the most time-efficient sequence possible. Every stage is demonstrated and practised, with time management built in throughout.

By the end of the day, attendees will be confident and consistent across all core valeting tasks.

Day 2 — Preparation & Machine Polishing

Day two builds on the foundations of Day 1, introducing decontamination techniques, clay bar use, and machine polishing skills.

This is particularly valuable for teams preparing used and sale vehicles, managing fleet presentation, or handling new car PDI work where paintwork may need additional attention before handover.

Attendees will also cover interior deep cleaning and odour removal, and stone chip and small-area scratch refinement — giving your team the capability to handle minor defect work in-house rather than outsourcing it.

Certification & tax

Every attendee leaves with a UKDA-accredited certificate in Professional Valeting. As a Government Registered Learning Provider, our qualifications carry recognised standing — and because HMRC typically treats vocational training as a legitimate business expense, the course cost can usually be offset against company taxes. A full VAT invoice is provided for reclamation.

Equip your team with the expertise to address minor paint defects, interior issues, and perform machine polishing work in-house with optimal efficiency and safety standards.

Course modules include:

  • Health and safety discussion and a run-through of vital inspections and checks prior to work.
  • Chemical use and decontamination skills and knowledge.
  • Efficient cleaning and handover preparation
  • Pre-polishing preparation – clay bars, solvent cleaners and mechanical decontamination.
  • Machine polishing skills, and the health and safety requirements for their usage.
  • Interior odour removal and deep cleaning techniques.
  • Stone chip and small area scratch removal and refinement.

Up to 5 employees can attend courses at a time, and for 3 or more attendees, the day can be run remotely at your own premises – subject to additional costs and logistics.

For courses of 6+ attendees, please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can accommodate adequate instructor-to-student ratios.
