Invest in your staff, invest in your business.
Valeting for Employees is the ideal course for valeting teams or individual employees, regardless of your scale, such as car sales, dealerships, car rental agencies or fleet operators.
The aim of the course is to enhance the efficiency, health & safety, and knowledge of in-house valeting operations and achieve consistent results from a knowledgeable team.
In this combined course, students receive a leaner version of our Level One detailing syllabus, without the emphasis on self-employed business and marketing skills a detailing company would need. It focuses instead on core skills employers need in a valeting team;
- Efficiency
- Safety
- Consistency
- Results
It can be taken by one managing member or a whole team, and is perfect for any experience, from a new starter to long-time members of staff.
The course starts on the first day with a look at chemical knowledge and safety to ensure all employees know the precautions and potential effects of the chemicals they are using in their work, both to themselves and the materials they are working on.
Coupled with general safety at work regulations and delivered by a certified instructor, this will ensure your due diligence and compliance are covered, whilst educating attendees on the importance of chemical safety.
We then move on to the practical element, working through all the stages of a consumer-attractive safe wash and interior valet, from inspection through to protection applications. All this is achieved in the most time-efficient manner possible to deliver showroom results, with demonstration and involvement in all stages and time management, ensuring a constant and predictable workflow.
By the end of Day 1, attendees will be well versed in all aspects of basic valeting skills and efficiency.
The second day builds upon the foundational knowledge acquired in Stage 1, delving deeper into preparation and decontamination techniques, and introducing machine polisher enhancement and minor correction ability to participants’ skill set. This skill set is particularly beneficial for individuals preparing used and sale vehicles, maintaining fleets, and dealerships preparing new cars for handover, which may require additional attention as part of a PDI procedure.
Equip your team with the expertise to address minor paint defects, interior issues, and perform machine polishing work in-house with optimal efficiency and safety standards.
The course includes:
- Health and safety discussion and a run-through of vital inspections and checks prior to work.
- Chemical use and decontamination skills and knowledge.
- Efficient cleaning and handover preparation
- Pre-polishing preparation – clay bars, solvent cleaners and mechanical decontamination.
- Machine polishing skills, and the health and safety requirements for their usage.
- Interior odour removal and deep cleaning techniques.
- Stone chip and small area scratch removal and refinement.
Up to 5 further employees can attend courses at a time, at a reduced rate, and for 3 or more attendees the day can be run remotely at your own premises, subject to additional costs and logistics.
For courses of 6+ attendees, please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can accommodate adequate instructor-to-student ratios.
