Valeting for Employees: Stage 1

£595.00 - £195 per additional attendee

Invest in your staff, invest in your business.

Valeting for Employees: Stage 1 is a one-day course designed to bring any valeting team — from new starters to long-serving staff — up to a consistent, safe, and professional standard.

Ideal for car dealerships, rental agencies, fleet operators, and anyone managing an in-house valeting operation, Stage 1 focuses on the practical core: chemical safety, safe wash technique, interior valeting, and the time-efficient processes that deliver reliable results day after day.

Up to six employees can attend together, with reduced rates for each person beyond the first. For teams of three or more, the training can be delivered on your own premises, subject to logistics.

As a Government Registered Learning Provider, UKDA issues certified qualifications — and course costs are typically recoverable as a business expense, with a full VAT invoice provided.

Courses can be attended by up to 6 employees at a time at a reduced rate for subsequent attendees, and for 3+ attendees the day can be run remotely at your own premises, subject to a few additional costs.

For courses of 6+ attendees, please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can accommodate adequate instructor-to-student ratios.

What Stage 1 covers

Stage 1 gives your team the knowledge and technique to valet vehicles safely, consistently, and to a standard that satisfies even the most discerning customer. It’s the practical foundation every valeting operation needs — whether you’re onboarding new staff, refreshing existing skills, or establishing a consistent baseline across your team.

The day opens with chemical knowledge and workplace safety: what products your staff are working with, how they interact with different surfaces, correct handling procedures, and SDS compliance. Delivered by a certified instructor, this element alone satisfies a meaningful due diligence obligation for any employer.

From there, the day moves into hands-on practical work — a full safe wash and interior valet, from initial vehicle inspection through to protection application. Every stage is demonstrated and practised with time management built in, so staff leave not just knowing what to do, but how to do it efficiently and consistently.

What happens next

Attendees can return to work immediately and put their new skills into practice, or continue to Stage 2 to add decontamination, machine polishing, and minor correction work to their capabilities. Both stages together form a complete employee valeting programme — or they can be taken separately to suit your team’s needs, typical work requirements, and schedule.

Certification & tax

Every attendee receives a UKDA-accredited certificate in Stage 1 Valeting for Business. As a Government Registered Learning Provider, our qualifications carry recognised standing. HMRC typically treats vocational training as a legitimate business expense, meaning course costs can usually be offset against company taxes — and a full VAT invoice is provided for reclamation.

Courses can be attended by up to 6 employees at a time at a reduced rate for subsequent attendees, and for 3+ attendees the day can be run remotely at your own premises, subject to a few additional costs.
