Level 2 Professional Car Detailing
Course Length: 2 Days guided learning.

Learners: 1-to-1
Certification: UKDA Level Two in vehicle detailing and maintenance
What you’ll learn
The machine polishing aspect of Level Two centres on mastering a wider range of equipment — long and short throw dual-action and nano machines, forced-action polishers, and the pad types and compound grades that go hand in hand with them for different correction scenarios.
You’ll develop the troubleshooting skills to identify more challenging defects, work confidently with matte finishes, spot-sand isolated areas, and understand why correct lighting is so critical to inspection and finishing.
On the specialist services side, you’ll extend your interior offering with in-depth steam cleaning, advanced odour removal, and fabric and leather protection protocols, alongside specialist stain removal chemistry and processes.
Exterior work expands too — convertible roof cleaning and prooin, removal of bonded overspray and contamination, plastic trim restoration, higher-grade LSP application, glass sealants, and coating aftercare all become part of your knowledge, supported by a deeper understanding of paint types and the chemistry behind them.
Throughout, you’ll also build on the business and process side of Level One — refining your pricing strategy, exploring accreditation options, managing your time more efficiently, and keeping your customer base updated as your service offering grows.
Who this is for
The Level 2 Car Detailing Course builds directly on Level One, and completing it is the standard route into a high-level service career. If you’re an experienced valeter or detailer who’s confident your existing skills already align with the Level One curriculum, you can get in touch to discuss fast-tracking by passing our Level One pre-assessment — this also helps us identify any gaps to address before you begin Level Two itself, potentially creating a bespoke course to suit.
Progression
On completion, you’ll sit the Level Two exam and receive your certification, with ongoing access to case studies and exercises to keep refining what you’ve learned. From here, you can progress to Level Three, or look at our specialist skill courses to extend your service offering and reach new client bases.
