Detailing 101 Enthusiast car detailing course
What the day covers
Working on a UKDA training vehicle, you’ll be guided hands-on through the full workflow of a professional enhancement detail. Starting with safe washing and decontamination — pre-wash, snow foam, multi-bucket method, and the appropriate use of acids, alkalis, and fallout removers — before moving into paintwork inspection using lighting techniques, depth gauges, and visual assessment.
From there you’ll work with machine polisher ranges and compound and pad combinations, developing a real understanding of mild paint correction in a setting where you can push the process and learn from the results, not worry about them. The afternoon covers protection options in depth — paint sealants, alloy wheel treatments, and glass protection — with hands-on application throughout.
Your trainer works with you one-to-one across the whole day, adjusting the pace and focus to what’s most useful for you – from retro classics, to new car care or anything on the spectrum.
After the course
You’ll leave with the technique and confidence to apply what you’ve learned to your own vehicle, backed by ongoing support if you want guidance as you develop further.
