The Friday Sessions are a monthly event giving you a free learning opportunity right here in the classroom at UK Detailing Academy. We wanted to create a small session of students in the room, sometimes hosted by ourselves, sometimes joined by special guests, to deliver some topics that detailers can use to further themselves and their businesses.
Friday Sessions are completely free to attend, signup opens on the 1st of each month at 9.00 am.
Please note – this is an in-person event and you will need to travel to us in order to attend. Please ensure you are aware of our location and are willing to travel before booking.

Next Session 27/06/2025 – Chemicals 101 – what they do and why they work.
Understanding what a chemical is actually doing on a surface is keystone knowledge to detailing – being able to adapt these, and identify contaminants to enable efficient removal will make you better, safer and more effective at your job.
We talk through the pH scale, and how it does (or doesn’t) affect our chemical choices. We look at surfactants and the role they play, how we can identify the chemicals we are using, and how that information can be used to tackle a range of surface contaminants for simple, efficient and effective removal.
